Cry for help from death row Florida
In February of 1994 Meryl’s friend Robert Gordon was accused of murdering a St. Petersburg doctor, Louis Davidson, on January 25, 1994, together with the doctor’s wife, her boyfriend and a British woman. Later that same year, Meryl’s name was included in the indictment for capital murder and he was arrested and jailed.
He stood trial together with Robert Gordon and both were convicted of first degree murder in June of 1995 and sentenced to death in December of that same year. He has now been on death row Florida for more than fifteen years, and has hated every minute of it.
All this time he has maintained his innocence of this heinous crime he’s been convicted of. With the help of his daughter Bridgette he has never stopped searching for new evidence to get himself a new trial or at least a new evidentiary hearing. For an in-depth history of the case, click here.
Meanwhile Meryl keeps himself busy in jail by being his own lawyer, helping other inmates with legal issues, and writing poems.
